You'll never look at a leaf the same way again

I know what you're thinking. A leaf is a leaf, right? Pick up A LEAF CAN BE by Laura Purdie Salas and you'll think again.

In A Leaf Can Be…, author Laura Purdie Salas uses poetry to explore the many roles that leaves play throughout the year. Young readers will be fascinated to learn about all the different roles a leaf takes-- from sun taker to frost catcher to food maker to shade maker and more. And turn to the back of the book and you can learn even more about each of a leaf's jobs.

The beautiful artwork by Violeta Dabija compliments Salas' text and the book as a whole is sure to change the way you've always seen a leaf!
