Who needs Dear Abby when there's Dear Tabby?

Dear TabbyDear Abby might seem a bit ancient for young readers, but that's why they have Dear Tabby by Carolyn Crimi.

Tabby D. Cat has been helping the furry and the feathered for all nine of her lives and young readers will get a kick out of the different letters that make up this wonderful picture book. For example, check out a letter by Boots whose owner, Emily, makes him eat sardines! She read somewhere that cats like them. Who would tell lies like that? And how about a letter by a dog named Manfred who wonders, What is the key to happiness?

Whatever the problem Tabby has some advice. Even for a skunk who finds it hard to meet girls. Tabby suggests, 'Be patient, my fragrant friend! For every saltshaker there's a pepper mill, for every cup there's a saucer and for every ham there's a cheese.'

This is such a humorous read and young readers will enjoy the vibrant illustrations by David Roberts. Who knew that these finicky felines and happiness-seeking hounds had so many problems?
