Don't miss the Sydney Taylor Book Award Blog Tour

The Sydney Taylor Book Award will be celebrating and showcasing its 2011 gold and silver medalists with a Blog Tour, starting TODAY February 6 and going all week until February 11, 2011. I have to admit, I'm honored to be a part of it! Last year, I had the amazing opportunity to interview Jonah Winter and this year, I'm honored to interview Claire Nivola. Don't miss my interview tomorrow!

But there are a bunch of interviews with winning authors and illustrators that will appear on a wide variety of Jewish, kidlit, and family-interest blogs. For those of you who have not yet experienced a Blog Tour, it’s basically a virtual book tour. Instead of going to a library or bookstore to see an author or illustrator speak, you go to a website on or after the advertised date to read an author’s or illustrator’s interview.

Below is the schedule for the 2011 Sydney Taylor Book Award Blog Tour. Please follow the links to visit the hosting blogs on or after their tour dates, and be sure to leave plenty of comments! I hope to see you here tomorrow for my interview with the amazingly talented Claire Nivola!

For the full list of this year’s winners, honors, and notable books, please visit the Association of Jewish Libraries website.
