Winged Chariot Press pioneering picture books

The arrival of the iPad hasn't just mesmerized the U.S., but Europe as well. That's why independent publisher Winged Chariot Press is creating picture and illustrated books in the digital arena for its biggest markets, the U.S., Europe and Japan with new offerings drawn and designed from scratch for the iPod touch, the iPhone and iPad.

I love the new direction for interactive picture books and The Birthday by Sylvia van Ommen is one young readers will love to interact with.

A story for all ages - you can listen and read it in three languages (English, Dutch and Japanese). Flip pages to follow the Postmouse on a surprising day's work: help her post letters, meet her menagerie of friends and enjoy the fun.

But that’s not all! There's also a new digital sticker feature that allows your young reader to be creative. They can make their own sticker pictures, then save and email them to their friends and family.

This is truly a new direction for the picture book. Check it out...

And check out The Apple iPad app that comes with fresh falling snow...
